NDC compared with traditional GDS content

With GDS (EDIFACT) content, fares and availability are aggregated and ticketed through the GDS. With NDC, the airline builds a time-limited offer and, once accepted, manages the order in its own systems. That opens up richer products, but it also changes how shopping, payment, ticketing and changes work in your platform.

Direct connections give the most control but need onboarding with each airline. Aggregators give faster access to several airlines. We help you compare the options against your routes and volumes.

Does NDC replace the GDS?

Not today for most agencies. Many airlines also distribute NDC content through GDSs, and most agencies run both channels in parallel.

Can you add NDC to an existing booking engine?

Yes. We can extend your current engine with an NDC module rather than rebuilding it.
