Guide · ERP and CRM for Indian businesses
Odoo and Salesforce are often compared, but they solve different problems. Odoo is an ERP suite covering accounting, inventory, manufacturing, sales and more. Salesforce is a CRM and customer platform for sales, service and marketing. This guide explains when each fits, and when to use both together. Prices are taken from the official pricing pages as of October 2026.
Per user per month, before GST. Prices and offers change, so check the official pages before buying:
Accounting, invoicing, inventory, purchase, manufacturing, HR, eCommerce, CRM and more, built as modules that share one database.
Sales, service, marketing, partner and customer portals, analytics and AI, with extensive configuration and a large app marketplace.
Odoo includes an Indian accounting localisation. Salesforce does not do accounting, so GST invoicing normally stays in an ERP or Tally connected to it.
Odoo CRM covers pipelines and activities well for many teams. Salesforce goes further with complex sharing, territories, forecasting, service consoles and portals.
Odoo is customised with Studio or Python modules. Salesforce uses Flow, Apex, Lightning components and its platform tools.
Odoo runs on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise, depending on plan. Salesforce is cloud only.
Odoo provides external APIs (XML-RPC/JSON-RPC), and Salesforce provides REST and other APIs. We connect the two directly or through middleware, so each system stays the master for its own data.
We implement and integrate Salesforce, and we connect it to ERPs such as Odoo and Tally. If Odoo alone covers your needs, we will say so.
Only partly. Odoo includes a CRM app, but it is mainly an ERP suite. Salesforce is a specialised CRM platform. Some businesses use Odoo alone, some use Salesforce alone, and many connect the two.
As of October 2026, Odoo's India pricing page lists One App Free at Rs 0, Standard at Rs 725 per user per month billed yearly (Rs 950 monthly), and Custom at Rs 1,350 billed yearly (Rs 1,690 monthly). A first-year discount for initial users was also shown. GST is extra.
As of October 2026, Salesforce's India pricing page lists Sales Cloud from US$25 (Starter Suite) to US$550 (Max) per user per month, with taxes extra.
Yes. Both have APIs. A typical integration sends won deals from Salesforce to Odoo as sales orders and brings invoices, payments and stock back to Salesforce.
